One Month

I can't believe that a month has already flown by. Ann Ballard has been such a good baby and this first month has been super busy with a new baby and a very helpful big sister. It is is amazing to compare Ann Ballard and Taylor's likes and dislike already at such a young age.  Ann Ballard does not care for a paci or like to sit in her bouncy seat, which were two things that Taylor loved right from the start. Her weight got down a little low at her first doctors visit, but has quickly improved and she loves to eat. She is very picky about what bottles she will drink from and it is causing me to have to buy a whole new kind! She loves to be flat on her back either on her changing table, activity mat or on the bed. Car seat or stroller- not for this little girl!  We have already taken a trip to the mountains and she was such a good little traveler. I can't believe how fast this month has gone by and I know that their is no slowing down!

Another Sweet Girl!

After a sleepless night we got the call that we could come in this morning to be induced. Everything went so quick, so much so that Kenny almost missed it! At 2:10 another sweet girl entered our family and just like that we became a family of four.  Ann Ballard Smith named after my Pop Pops grandfather was 7 lbs 9 oz. and 21" long and we are all so in love with her. She has dark hair and looks alot like Taylor did when she was born. We are all so happy for another girl, especially Kenny and Taylor, who told me while pointing to my tummy that she "would cry if that be a boy baby in their". Ann Ballard get ready because I have no guarantees what this family or Big Sis has in store for you!

Nursery inspiration

Baby #2 is getting Taylor's nursery hand me downs for the most part, which is fine because as I was taking the bedding to the dry cleaners yesterday I looked at and thought "I still love this bedding". One of my design rules has always been to tear out pictures of things you like ( or now days use Pinterest) and if you still like it when you look back at it months or years down the road it means it was a good pick or decision and not the fad at the time. The new nursery does have some new changes and touches added to it and once the baby is here and we know the gender I am sure it will evolve even more. Here are a few nursery inspirations I have come across.

About to do this again

It has been well over a year since I have blogged! The reason I first started was when I had my first child  Taylor as a way to remember all her milestones and with the plan to turn the blog posts into her baby book. Well she is now 3 and I have yet to make the book and now have another baby on the way. Their was just never any time to sit down and blog and I know with a new addition time is going to be even more scarce, however I am going to do my best so this baby can have a book also.  I am a past interior designer and love to party plan so I created this new blog to incorporate some of those things along with my daily happenings.
